Electrolyte gel for the endurance athlete

Each unit contains: • NaCl • KCl

Directions:

For periods of prolonged, profuse or frequent sweating: Administer 1 syringe (50ml) just before endurance ride. Repeat hourly throughout the ride. Following consumption, water should be offered. Consumption of electrolytes stimulates drinking, and benefits in preventing hyponatremia (low sodium) which inhibits thirst.

Do not add to the horse’s drinking water, as it will decrease most horses’ water consumption, and therefore be counterproductive.
